Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd (初音ミク -Project DIVA 2nd-?) is a 2010 rhythm game created by Sega and Crypton Future Media for the PlayStation Portable. The game is a sequel to the 2009 video game, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA, and was first released on July 29, 2010 in Japan with no international release. Like the original the game primarily makes use of Vocaloids, a series of singing synthesizer software, and the songs created using these vocaloids most notably the virtual-diva Vocaloid Hatsune Miku. In addition, similar to the first Dreamy Theater, a companion game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater 2nd that allows players to play the game on the PlayStation 3 with improved visuals. Known Problems

  • Music desync: Uncheck I/O on thread, set CPU frequency to 333 and uncheck Low Latency Audio
  • Sudden framerate jumps: Set CPU frequency to 333.
  • Android Lag: Some android phones will lag when lots of notes are on-screen.

PC Configuration

Disclaimer: The settings below are for a mix between performance and accuracy. If a setting is not mentioned, it presumably doesn't affect the game in any way; feel free to experiment.

Graphics:

  • Rendering Mode: Buffered Rendering
  • Framerate Control: Frameskip OFF (Game is arguably unplayable with frameskip)
  • Features: No particular settings.
  • Performance:  Vertex Cache: OFF (characters will blink too fast if checked)
  • Texture Scaling: No particular settings.
  • Texture Filtering: Texture Filter: Linear (Fixes shading a bit)

  • Overlay Information: No particular settings.
  • Debugging: No particular settings.

Audio:

  • Enable Sound:
  • Low Latency Audio: ☐ (Audio will desync otherwise)

  • Fast Memory:
  • Multithreaded (Needs 2+ CPU Cores or HT) :
  • I/O on thread: ☐ (You will get extreme desync otherwise)
  • CPU Clock: 333 +
  • Atomic Audio Locks: ☐
